When you come to the world of croissant magic, youāre daring to live intentionally ā moving at a slow + luxurious pace to savor all the little moments in the day. Thereās a sense of excitement + readiness for the creative desires youāve been carrying around, no longer feeling the need to wait for the right moment to pursue them. Here, we encourage wonderment + the dreaming of whatās possible - of stepping into the person you are becoming + living life wholely. For us, that means practicing separate, balanced focuses on quality + quantity throughout the various areas of our lives - our own version of yin + yang, if you will.
šļø There are four key elements to the croissant culture: the Parisian aesthetic, slow living, being creative for the sake of it, + practicing lowkey witchery to enchant our days.
\\ the parisienne aesthetic
The lifestyle of a La Parisienne is the initial inspiration: walking to the shops for fresh bread + groceries for the day, eating multi-course meals in the evening, taking midday strolls along the pier, wearing a stylishly chic wardrobe, traveling to art museums, sporting berets, reading by candlelight + the oh-so-classique eating a croissant with your morning coffee. There are so many other wonderful visuals I could outpour into this space, but the idea is to embody this richness of life into our everyday - to embody this Parisian la magie.
\\ living slowly
Another key element of the Parisian aesthetic is living slowly, passionately, + with purpose - being intentional with the foods we eat, the way we spend our time, + how we actively care for ourselves. Itās not about getting to a place of perfection (ie, like in an Instagram-filter), but rather a quality of living that makes us feel like weāre living our best lives - that weāre embracing our main character energy - that we are stepping into the person that we are becoming. This is where we lead with quality by our side, gracefully moving at the speed of the Tortoise who takes the time to enjoy the moments that charm our days.
\\ creative embodiment
You are more than your pursuits ā you are a creative ā and your creativity shouldnāt be funneled solely into money, stability, + social media. Your soul, your passions, + your connection to the divine deserves more than that. With croissant magic, embodying our creativity means to be focused on quantity. For then we can escape perfectionism + experiment with our inspired ideas in real time ā after all, magic isnāt about curating but rather inviting possibilities.
\\ intentional witchcraft
Weāre bringing in the everyday witch vibes through white mood candles, basking in the glow of that sweet window lighting, crafting delicious elixirs, spending time with our cat familiars, engaging in enchanting chit chat, + following the tools of our intuition. All in all, itās as simple as drinking that coffee, lighting that candle, setting those intentions, + treating each day as a sacred entity. Croissant cultureās essence is dripped with intention. And so the magic that we practice are whatever crafts + spells that allow you to step forward into the life you dream of living, right now in the present.
\\ adding it all together you getā¦
Your dreams shouldn't dominate your life ā they should be a part of your life while you practice + pursue the things that make you happy. You shouldnāt need to prove yourself worthy. When wanting something to happen so badly, we can become fixated + hyper-focused on our dreams. This leaves very little room to connect, nurture, + live life as a whole person.
Hereās the thing: for three years, my creative business was my entire personality + it became my whole life. It made me very unhappy, sick, + generally unfulfilled. It wasn't until I realized I was working so hard to live my dream life instead of just actually living it, that I gave myself the permission to relax, go slower, + pursue my other creative interests. Which was the beginning of me becoming whole again.
And also what led to me creating croissant magic, which you could succinctly describe as a digital space to hangout with while we work on creative projects + chat the chat. As a fellow creative, I would be honored to have you join us for this adventure.
